6. Opinion: An opinion piece is a short article that conveys the author’s viewpoint on a research study. It presents a personal review of, for example, the methods and analyses done in the study. It also provides the author’s viewpoint on the researcher’s hypothesis and its shortcomings (if any). These pieces are meant to provide constructive criticism. Although they are personal observations, evidence should be available to support the author’s critique of the study.
7. Book Review: A book review aims to provide a brief summary of the book's strengths and weaknesses and to evaluate its overall usefulness to the intended audience.
8. Letter to Editor: Letters to the editor will be considered for publication if they are pertinent to articles recently published in Health Dynamics (HD) journals.
9. Brief: Briefs are short, observational studies that report preliminary results or novel findings or a short complete study.
10. Editorial: An editorial is an article written by or on behalf of the editors that gives an opinion on a topical issue

Peer Review Process
Articles submitted to Health Dynamics undergo a peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality and reliable research. The journal follows anonymous peer review (a single-anonymized peer review system), where the authors are unaware of the reviewers’ identities.
Peer Review Process
1. Primary Screening:
The editorial office conducts an initial screening before the formal review process. This includes checking the manuscript format, language quality, and plagiarism detection.
2. Reviewer Assignment:
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent peer reviewers with relevant expertise. These reviewers are external to the journal and selected based on their subject-matter knowledge.
3. Review Evaluation:
Peer review is a critical step in scholarly publishing that ensures the validity and quality of scientific research. Reviewers assess the manuscript’s rigor, clarity, coherence, and contribution to existing knowledge. The review process typically takes 4–6 weeks, depending on reviewer availability. Feedback is provided to the authors for improvement.
4. Decision Making:
Based on reviewers’ feedback, the editor makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept without revisions
- Accept with minor revisions
- Revise and resubmit (major revisions required)
-Reject
Authors are expected to submit revised manuscripts within the specified timeframe, addressing all reviewer comments.
5. Final Decision and Publication:
After revisions, the manuscript is re-evaluated. Upon final approval, it proceeds to copyediting, formatting, and is scheduled for publication in a specific volume and issue.
Publication Frequency
The Health Dynamics is published as a monthly journal with twelve (12) issues in one volume a year.
Open Access Policy
Health Dynamics is a fully open access journal. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global knowledge exchange. Once published, your article will be immediately and permanently available for readers to read, download, and share. Readers will be able to access your article freely on https://knowdyn.org/.
Open Access Statement
Health Dynamics is a fully open access journal, which means that all articles are available on the internet to all users immediately upon publication. Benefits of open access for authors include:
- Free access for all users worldwide
- Authors retain copyright to their work

- Public Knowledge Project’s Private LOCKSS Network (PKP PN) – This system ensures decentralized, secure, and long-term storage of published content.
- This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
Repository Policy
Authors are encouraged to self-archive the final version of their published articles into institutional repositories (such as those listed in the Directory of Open Access). For this purpose, authors are strongly encouraged to use the final PDF version published on the website.
Self-Archiving Policy
Authors are permitted and encouraged to self-archive their published articles under the following conditions:
- Submitted version: Authors may share the pre-submission version of their manuscript in preprint servers.
- Accepted version: Authors may archive the peer-reviewed, accepted version of their manuscript with an embargo period.
- Published version: Authors may archive the final published PDF on personal websites and other open-access platforms, provided proper citation and attribution are given.
Policy on Content Permanence
- Article Retention: Once published, all articles remain permanently available on the journal’s website and designated archiving systems.
- DOI and Persistent Identifiers: All published articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure permanent citation and accessibility.
- Content Migration: In the event of technological obsolescence, the journal commits to migrating its content to updated digital formats to ensure continued accessibility.
Plagiarism and Data Fabrication
Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. We define plagiarism as copying text, ideas, images or data from another source, even from own publications, without giving credit to the original sources. To ensure the originality, all submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism checkers Turnitin. Manuscripts indicated with a similarity index of more than 15% may be rejected. Health Dynamics strongly follow the publication ethics and will check similarity index for all submitted documents.
Data presented must be original and not inappropriately selected, manipulated, enhanced, or fabricated. This includes 1) exclusion of data points to enhance the significance of conclusions, 2) fabrication of data, 3) selection of results that support a particular conclusion at the expense of contradictory data, 4) deliberate selection of analysis tools or methods to support a particular conclusion (including p-hacking). We strongly recommend preregistration of methods and analysis.
Article Metrics & Usage Statistics
Article-level metrics are designed to help authors assess this by providing a better understanding of the reach of an article or published research, and the attention it is receiving online. This journal will provide access to the number of online views of each article, the number of citations to each article, and the Altmetric score of each article:
Article Download/View Statistics: Download/View statistics will be separately available for every article published.
